Tories Gain Control of North Somerset Council

The Conservative Party gained control of North Somerset Council this morning.


The final standing of the parties is: Conservative 32

Labour 13

Liberal Democrats 11

Independents 3

Local Liberal 1

"I would like to thank all the staff who worked during the day to help the election run smoothly," said Councillor Barry Walters, Leader of the Conservative Group.


Councillors Kirsen, Bibb, Forrest, Haysom, Kiss, Hayes, Duverger and Hayter were among those who lost their seats.
