Eddie Mulder - Biography

Eddie Mulder was born Sept. 20, 1943 to Dutch parents who owned a dairy in Apple Valley, Ca. Country living was advantageous to the young Mulder as he grew up roaming the wide open spaces of the Southern California deserts, learning to ride motorcycles was a perk as his father had moved the family from the dairy to own one of the first motorcycle dealerships in the Los Angeles area. At age 8 Eddie began to ride and racing was his passion. At age 15, he became the youngest winner of the biggest hare and hound race known, Big Bear, and beat out over 500 other racers. Leaving home in pursuit of a career in motorcycle racing, Eddie became a factory Triumph rider and was the only man to win the Triple Crown of TT Racing. Best known for his flashy style, toothy grin and flair, Mulder quickly became the crowd favorite at every venue. The ability to ride and entertain lead to his first job in the business, doubling Clint Eastwood on a motorcycle jump stunt in Magnum Force. Others followed, stunt double for James Brolin, Peter Fonda, Evel Knevil. Stunt Coordinator, technical advisor and stunt driver for film, television and commercial accounts like Dodge Trucks, Chevy, Ford and Mercedes Benz are Eddies forte. Bon Jovi¹s Young Guns music video, the Fugees music videos, over 250 commercials, 45 feature films, numerous television programs have all required the experience of a professional. With over 35 years in the business, Eddie is the perfectionist everyone wants on their shoot. Experience, reliability, technical know-how and on the mark precision is what Eddie Mulder delivers. Today, when Eddie isn¹t working, he builds custom motorcycles, races and promotes the West Coast Vintage Dirt Track Series.
