The reign of Afro Harold could be over if yesterday's episode is anything to go. Harold was booed offstage after taking his appeal with the younger generation one step too far. He used Afro Harold to warn of the evils of alcohol.
Ian Smith who plays Harold explained why Harold decided to use Afro Harold to preach to the youth of today.
"Because it's a modern image," said Ian. "Or he considers it to be a modern image that might reach out and touch the people he was trying to send his message to. He thinks Afro is modern, God love him, and he sees it as a modern tool to reach the young audience."
When asked how Harold felt after being booed offstage, Ian explained,
"Well, naturally he would feel like anyone would. He'd feel betrayed; he'd feel very sad. Harold would feel very sad that he wasn't able to get his message across."
Ian thinks that Harold definitely has problems in his delivery,
"I think the man is wonderful, but his ability to sell his message is appalling," he said. "It's very bad. I'd love him to find a way to do it, because I think he deserves success."
