On May 4, 1988, an explosion rocked the PEPCON solid rocket missile fuel processing plant in Henderson, Nevada. The building was soon on fire, and as the fire grew it caused tanks holding a chemical to explode-- four times. The fourth explosion was so powerful it registered a 3.5 on the Richter scale. Forensic engineer Ray Hauschel and the team Z-Axis began the task of trying to figure out what caused the disastrous fire and explosion. They had little to go on due to the extent of the damage, until a videotape surfaced that recorded the entire event. Using the footage investigators determined what led to the destruction of the PEPCON plant.
