2002 WUSA Season:

Just one year removed for a stellar 2001 WUSA campaign, Beene continued to excel in net for the San Jose CyberRays in 2002...After an 8-7-5 season in 2002, Beene holds the WUSA mark for career victories with 19...Her 72 saves in 2002 place her second all-time in saves (167) in the WUSA...After finishing second in shutouts in 2002 (4), Beene ranks second in all-time clean sheets (12) in the WUSA...Her career 1.16 goals against average ranks third all-time in the WUSA...She was named 2001 WUSA Goalkeeper of the Year as well as to the All-WUSA First Team in that same year...A member of the U.S. national team since 2000, the Notre Dame product has 12 caps while registering a 0.62 goals against average.

2001 WUSA Season:

LaKeysia Beene's improvement was critical in turning a 1-4-1 start to the CyberRays' season into the inaugural WUSA championship... Beginning with a goal by Atlanta Beat F Charmaine Hooper in the 13th minute of a 1-0 loss 5/27, Beene went 624 minutes (10 hours, 24 minutes) without surrendering another score, a WUSA record...That stretch also included six consecutive shutout matches, also a WUSA record...The streak ended 7/12 when Washington Freedom F Mia Hamm scored on a free kick in the eighth minute of a 3-2 CyberRays' victory...Beene was the WUSA shutout leader with eight.

College:

Beene wrapped up her four-year career at Notre Dame in 1999 by leading her team to the NCAA championship game at Spartan Stadium...On the way to the runner-up finish by the Fighting Irish, Beene faced the two highest-scoring teams in the country, Nebraska in a four-overtime NCAA quarterfinal match and Santa Clara in the semis, and allowed just one goal in 240 minutes of play...She was a two-time all-American and played for the U.S. under-20 team.
