Kelly
awaits international clearance to don the
Red & Black.
September 25, 2003 Email:
webmaster@arnettgardensfc.com Following
a meeting involving representatives of Harbour
View FC, Arnett Gardens and the JFF's competitions
Committee, an amicable solution has been
reached regarding star midfielder Keith
Kelly. According to JFF's Press Officer
Earle Bailey, correspondence obtained by
the JFF revealed that Kelly had been signed
as a Professional player French Club Paris
St. Germain (PSG) for the period July 2001-
August 2003. That being so, based on a Memorandum
of Understanding between both Clubs, Harbour
View should have been compensated on Kelly's
signing. If he was not signed within a specified
time, he would then return to the local
club. This (compensation) however, did not
happen.
The JFF will therefore be making representation
to the French FA to have them (PSG) honor
their part of the understanding with Harbour
View. The JFF will also apply for an international
clearance for the player from the French
FA. Harbour View has in turn agreed to
loan Arnett Gardens the player for one
year. If the international clearance is
not received within thirty days time,
FIFA gives the Jamaica Football Federation
the authority to issue a local clearance
for the player to don the colors of Arnett
Gardens.

Kwame Richardson on a Walter Boyd assist
and powerful free kick from Garth Bootha
had Arnett cruising with a 2-0 lead over
Rivoli United at halftime. But a peach
of a goal by Patrick Beech and dubious
decision to have a saved penalty retaken,
cost Arnett three point and gave Rivoli
a point away from home. Gerald Neil was
adjudged to have handled the ball on the
line with McLeish beaten, but McLeish
return to save the awarded penalty. However
one of the assistant referees accused
McLeish of moving off his line prior to
the kicking of the ball. The second attempt
was scored. More

It could be seen as a wake up call. A
wake up call sending a clear message that
Arnett Gardens are no longer NPL champions
and the road back to the top will not
be easy. This message came from the same
team that ended the former champs unbeaten
run last season with a 3-1 whipping.

KEITH
KELLY IN ARNETTS' LINE-UP
September 13, 2003
Former PSG and National U23
midfielder Keith Kelly will
play his football for the Arnett
Gardens this season. The JFF's
Competitions Comittee made that
decision recently, after another
NPL team tried to register the
player. Media reports had quoted
the player as saying he was
coming to Jamaica to play for
Arnett and officials at the
club remained quite onfident
about their negotiations to
have the player, but another
NPL outfit claimed the rights
to the player based on some
former agreement
The player now awaits his international
clearance
