Music™, a publishing and licensing company, and Rainbow Waterfall™ - a record label, distributor, and retail sales company - Lois is a member of many music, environmental and educational organizations. Her teaching degree covers kindergarten through 12th grade general education and physical education, but music is her love. Professional affiliations include the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the North American Association for Environmental Education, the Children's Music Network and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (she votes for the Grammy winners.)

LOIS

Hi! Welcome to my site! Yes, that really is me typing at the keyboard. If I'm not in my studio working on something musical, I'm probably outside playing some sport, walking, biking or gardening. "Body, mind and spirit" is my life's philosophy: all need nurturing and exercise!

FAMILY

My family and I are preparing for a trip together. That is, after we meet up somewhere out West. My son, Jamie, and his girlfriend usually hike or bike with my husband, Mike and me. I've just finished playing volleyball in the US Volleyball Association Nationals with another pick up team which had some of the ladies I played with at the Huntsman Senior Olympic Games last October. We did pretty good for a "pick-up" team; some of us just met the day before actual play and finished mid-pack after finals. Gosh, I sure love sports as much as music :)

BUSINESS

Along with What's In The Sea? Songs About Marine Life and Ocean Ecology, KIMBO now has Save The Animals, Save The Earth available in CD format. The booklet, CD itself and trayback look great! Amy at KIMBO always does a terrific job! Thank you, KIMBO!

As you know, Halloween is still my favorite holiday for silly costumes, ghost stories and free candy...even if the trick-or-treating is scheduled and all the candy is checked before consumption. I just had a Mom request my Halloween Fun album now that her daughter is 4 years old. She already memorized the songs on It's Halloween! and is ready for the Pre-K/Elementary heavy duty stuff :)

PROJECTS

My Food/Nutrition Songbook/Album is 50% finished. This project was first started in English then licensed and translated into Finnish becoming a wonderful album titled Hotti Kokki which basically means "Swinging Chef." Now, I'm bringing it back into English making the lyrics match up with Bianca's background music. I find this kind of word-play very facinating!

Of course, I'm entering the sheet music into Finale on my Mac clone, then I'll add the dance steps and activities same as those in my other two songbooks. Lot's of work when you're doing it yourself!

FUN

Well, I'm STILL struggling through the sci-fi book series that takes place in a kind-of humanistic outerspace environment. Many unusual physical interplanetary terms to learn...the spacefarer hero is a woman...in fact, most of the spacefarers seem to be female. Human spacepersons and other "aliens" (humans are considered aliens in this cas) are "males" and the captain of this particular ship did bring her husband along, but didn't expect too much from him. I think it was written in a kind of role reversal. Personally, I find individual "anythings" can come smarter, sportier or more artistic or kinder or _____ (fill in the blank) than others of their species; being male or female doesn't matter.

In book II, the bad-guys territory is going to be by-passed through a warping type technology jump and, if the space debris doesn't follow and rip the ship apart, I think everyone/everyspecies will wind up with a good inter-universe sales/buying/trading contract.
