Welcome to the Rollator Content System.
Click on "admin" at the top of the page. To login, use the username of "demo", and password of "demo".
Static entries, such as this one, are displayed no matter how old the entry - the number of static entries displayed is well, nearly fully configurable. ;)
It's fully functional - come give it a try!

You can selectively allow, or deny PHP execution.. [Last Edit: 11.10.03/4:27] Keyed in by demo on 8.10.2003 at 12:46 PDT

Wow, 1,066,113,272 seconds since epoch. <?php echo("... or not."); // Yes, this is supposed to be displayed. ;) ?>
Rollator will only execute php encapsulated within FULL PHP tags; even if PHP short_tags execution is turned on. It will not execute code that has been HTML escaped. PHP execution is off by default - here, for the purpose of demonstration, it is allowed ONLY for entries of type 'static'. |
QuickURL Bookmarket howto [Last Edit: 11.10.03/4:26] Keyed in by demo on 11.10.2003 at 1:39 PDT

This is what I use with Safari to create 'QuickURL' bookmarkets: (Yes, this will allow you to use QuickURLs with this demo site - please note that you will only get information returns from Rollator upon an error in it's current state.)
javascript:void(create_weblog=window.open('http://rollator.sourceforge.net/ \
index.php?op=addurl&auth=demo&urlname='+document.title+'&urlpath='+escape \
(window.location.href)+'&password=nuffing&comment='+escape(window.getSelection()),'_blank','')); \
create_weblog.focus();
Note that the 'password' is not the same as the administrator password - this allows third party users who know your auth string to share QuickURLs. This password field will be for end users to delete their own QuickURL entries without requiring administration access. Ditto for the comments function. ;)

New Rollator Milestone release! [Last Edit: 11.10.03/4:22] Keyed in by demo on 11.10.2003 at 11:17 PDT

Rollator's demo site has been updated to othe current code, and seeded with both information for the integral music list, as well as the 'QuickURL' style of logging service.
To send a 'QuickURL' to the db, encapsulate it in a POST as: http://rollator.sourceforge.net/?op=addurl&auth=demo \
&urlname="MyQuickURLTitle"&urlpath=http://myhomepage.com& \
comment="MyTextToNoteWhatThisIs" &password=Password
Similarly, this mechanism is almost exactly the same for the music DB. ;)
Reader-level comments are now available for each news and page entry - the DB backend has been rewritten to work with MySQL or PostgreSQL; and a whole lot of other spiffy stuff.
Please pardon it's appearance; I've been working on features and haven't cheaned up all of the CSS.
HTMLArea 3 support exists for GUI text editing, but has been disabled in the demo because it breaks tables and I don't like it. ;) |
Sure looks like simple blogging to me Keyed in by demo on 9.10.2003 at 4:28 PDT

Nice idea, good to get away from the complexity of some weblogging tools and create something simpler.

You can even syndicate your data with RSS compatible feeds! [Last Edit: 11.10.03/4:26] Keyed in by demo on 8.10.2003 at 12:50 PDT

This link to an HTML transation service for RSS feeds should give you a rough concept of Rollator's RSS functionality, or this one, when it works. |
