      Kerafyrm DOWN!!! SERVERWIDE FIRST!!!

MiM NewsGhenwivar writes 'On monday November 17th, in the most amazing and exciting battle ever, Ascending Dawn, Wudan and Magus Imperialis Magicus defeated Kerafyrm, also known as The Sleeper, for the first time ever on an EverQuest server. The fight lasted approximatively 3 hours and about 170-180 players from Rallos Zek's top 3 guilds were involved. Hats off to everyone who made this possible and put aside their differences in order to accomplish the impossible. Congratulations RZ!!!

Thanks Everyone from RZ and all servers for supporting us when GM's poofed Sleeper on us and thanks for supporting us last night. Thanks also to SoE for actually correcting the issue by giving everyone who was there for the first attempt 20% exp back, 2 AAXP pts and letting us have another shot at Kerafyrm. I think we can all agree it could have been handled much better from the start but SoE recognized their mistake and made up for it.

Again, Congratulations to Ascending Dawn, Wudan and Magus Imperialis Magicus for the great teamwork and awesome job tonight.

      AD/Wudan/MiM owned sleeper?

MiM NewsGhenwivar writes 'On saturday November 15th, in the most epic zerg fight ever, Ascending Dawn, Wudan and Magus Imperialis Magicus managed to get the supposedly unkillable sleeper to 27%... And there's no doubt imo that we would have won if GM's didn't reset the zone. So what do we get for gathering 180 people, taking multiple deaths and wasting 3 hours and 23 min? Yes, that's right nothing.

    The team

GM's supposedly said that Kerafyrm is part of the EQ2 story and that they will not let him die, I can't confirm that tho. So we got the usual: "I am very sorry to hear about what happened, I am afraid that we do not know what happened in regards to this, and I can not discuss game mechanics. We are however letting development know so they can look into it." That's the answer SoE gives to 180 people who just saw sleeper poof on them at 27%, after 3.5 hours of fighting and dying ridiculous amount of time.

    Engaging Kerafyrm

Saying we are disappointed/frustrated would be an understatement. I really do hope SoE will correct this issue. If you don't want sleeper to be killed, fucking make it untargetable. Don't despawn it in front of people who are gonna find ways to kill it.

Congratulations Ascending Dawn, Wudan and Magus Imperialis Magicus on doing the impossible. Big thanks also to everyone who supported us last night. RZ PRIDE!!!

      Romp thru Plane of Fire

We have been so busy killing that I have not had time to even update the news. Truth be told, it has just taken us a while to get this rotations down, having to share with Wudan and AD makes me sad. But hey, we are good sports and let them get a turn or 2 in on occassion.

So what exactly have we done in the past month? Worked on a few PoA mini's, cleared PoE and attempted a mystical arbitor of earth(he will go down next time!). Got a shot in on Fennin Ro, went smooth for first time, but in the end we were not ready for what he had, next time we will be ready.

But last night, we finally made a nice leap forward. We cleared all Mini's, including Genral Raparm, in one quick night. 8 elemental molds and 6 elemental loots is not bad for a few hours work. We are getting geared up and set for those final few bosses before Time. My only gribe about Doomfire is that not 1 Chain mold dropped, argh! Little less leather and little more chain would be a nice switch.

Had some nice pics, and some nice loots to list. Bbut I am to lazy today, will save them for next time I get around to updating the news. Hopefully that will be soon, as we are coming up on our next Fennin attempt soon.

NOTE: We are currently looking for skilled Enchanters, Clerics and Wizards. If you think you have what it takes to battle the Gods of Norrath, Submit an application and be tested!

So it has been a couple of weeks since we have had access to the PoF, in that time we have worked on rotations and learning the different strategies involved with each new encounter. It finally came together last night, and we got our first taste of elemental armor. The first Mini boss to fall before our might was Babnoxious the Spider Queen

    Babnoxious the Spider Queen

Next on our list was Magmatron

    Magmatron

Was a nice haul for our first real attempt at these suckers:

    Kaiphes- Shimmering Sleeves of Flame
Trinous - Shimmering Sleeves of Flame
    Schaefer- Romar's Gloves of Visions
    Adiyen- Kerasha's Sylvan Gloves
Komotto- Rosrak's Gauntlets of the Primal
Rakizi- Ton Po's Wristwraps of Composure
    Talkius- Necklace of Reflected Flames

Endless weeks of reflagging come to an end, a new dawn in MiM's history begins to unfold. With the final stroke landing on Mithaniel Marr's defiant body, we felt our energies surge. For the first time we will enter the Tower of Solusek Ro with the purpose of not just killing Solusek's guards, but with the purpose of killing Solusek Ro himself. Opening up the plane of fire and the countless treasures that await our hungry ranks.

But before that journey begins, we decided to roll thru Vex Thall on more time. Fourty-five tireless MiM entered the sacred halls, knowing this treasure will soon be second-rate. Toiling for hours on end, one boss after another dropped. Feeling Aten Ha Ra getting closer, we pushed on, completing this time-consuming journey in one day. Much treasure was found, but always in the back of our minds we thought about the elemental horde that would render this treasure junk.

Congratulations to the MiM members who have worked so hard to get us to this point, and enjoy the fruits of our labor in the months ahead. Maybe we can help Talkius replace his gnome helm, but please tell me what Shimm was doing back there...

We've been doing reflaggings all week.

    Stand and fight!
    Join the light!
Into the battle with power and might

Unfortunately, the Planar Projection despawned horribly fast so only a few were able to get the flag. Anyhow, he's no match for MiM, so we will just have to kill him again.

    Bertoxxulous
Darkened night set to swallow the light
All is lost, there's no one left to fight
Overpowered by the glory and might
Of the one who stand tall

    ... scheduled for a rematch.

    Vallon Zek, Tallon Zek
Those two make up for a nice, fast and fun event. Verant should spend more time creating event type mobs that doesn't take more than 30 minutes to get to and kill. Got some drops too:

I'll leave you with a nice tune you can humm along with:

    Heart of a Dragon

    Proud and so glorious
    Standing before of us
Our swords will shine bright in the sky
    When united we come
To the land of the sun
With the heart of a dragon we ride

    Through the valley we ride
    Full of glory we soar
Where the fights will be raging
    For now and for more

On wings of steel an ancient flight
We see the powers that unite
The gods will now send us a sign of battle once more

    When united we come
    And divided they fall
Tonight you will witness it all

    Proud and so glorious...

Not much excitement lately, just gearing up for that last push before we do Solusek Ro. Since we mastered the RZTW script and downed him with ease, we have been reflagging at a crazy pace.

Think our recruits are the only ones having fun these past couple weeks, they have gotten more flags in one week than most of us got in months. Next week will end our reflagging and then we will live in PoF, except for the occasional VT trip, of course.

Not even going to bother posting any loot, after being this close to elemental gear, everything looks so pathetic. Even RZTW's drops seemed weak, altho we are getting a ton of Ornate armor.

Look for a better update with more pictures and phat lewtz in a week, after Solusek Ro dies. But to tide you over till then, enjoy this picture of what is titled "DoZ Guild Meeting"

      Vex Thal

    MiM NewsDrosenj writes '
With a fresh supply of new VT keys, we once more decide to wander into the time sink called Vex Thal. Much to our delight, we find that we must re-key our guild to the locked doors, as if the time sink wasn't already bad enough(/rude rogues who left).

Our first day was quite interesting, ISP's were having all sorts of problems and people were going LD left and right. To top it off, we had no chanter or monks, how is that for getting ready to start your VT trip? Luckily a drunk Kinthaf is a better puller than most monks, and we sped thru the Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek and Diabo Xi Va, before we had a mass LD and decided to call it a night.

Saturday went much smoother, ISP issues solved and no more LD. Oddly, alot of people showed up on the second day that weren't there the first day, hmmm. So armed with chanters and a still drunk Kinthaf, we rolled thru at a decent pace. Diabo Xi Xin Thall, Diabo Xi Va Temariel, Thall Va Kelun, Va Xi Aten Ha Ra, Kaas Thox Xi Aten Ha Ra and Aten Ha Ra all felt the wrath of MiM. This, my friends, is why day two of VT is called candy day.

For those who think getting your VT key is a waste of time, and wonder why anyone would spend countless hours a couple nights a month in there. Well, here are several reasons for it:

    Aten Ha Ra
    Brogaun - Great Shadow Platemail
    Beguileress - Robe of Secrets
    Starweaver - Mask of Judgement
Sorid - Soul essence of Aten Ha Ra

    Diabo Xi Xin Thall
Natro - Belt of Dark Thought
Sennydar - Dark Mace of Thought
    Cepheus - Obsidian Necklace

    Diabo Xi Va Temariel
    Dujinn - Lightbringers Earring
    Beguileress - Dagger of Thought
    Yohr - Crystal Shadow Cloak

    Thall Va Kelun
Schaefer - Cloak of Frozen Flames
Faerluna - Cloak of Glowing Embers
Sighkox - Earring of Falling Stars

    Va Xi Aten Ha Ra
    Brogaun - Eye of Darkness
    Merrek - Cloudy Steel Mask
Tanager - Fervid gloves of the warder

Kaas Thox Xi Aten Ha Ra
    Merrek - Orb of Satisfaction
    Zubotai - Bracelet of Darkness
    Gaza - Crown of Energy
Malanda - Wand of Everlasting Water
    Vasquas - Wand of tranquility
    Dujinn - Nightcaller Leggings

    Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek
    Gaidel - Sandals of Contemplation
    Miniynnad - Shade Stone Amulet

    Diabo Xi Va
    Bradith - Helmet of Shadow
Cepheus - Staff of Lost Rituals
    Daeloan - Scepter of Calekor

Don't believe the rumors, we are still here and kickin. With the addition of some great recruits and members stepping up and filling Kattara's shoes, we are gettin back in business.

Relearning the RZTW cycle is a pain(we miss you UT!), but we just about have it down. one of the best done encounters I have seen, people who don't experience this are really missing out. Pics just can't do it justice.

Tho that has been consuming most of our time, we learned the hard way that our new blood needed VT keys. Having 20 people outside VT waiting on a rift is unexceptable, so what do we do? Kill the EMP! Sure it has been done before, sure it is a routine kill, but to see 20 people looting rifts will bring a smile to your face. And looting Envenomed Mocassins sure did bring a smile to mine. Grats Mriu and Drosj on Moccasins and grats Calddar on a White Ornate Chain Bridle. Not a bad night and an omen of things to come tonight. Expect a big update tomorrow, we gonna have fun tonight!

ATTENTION: MiM is looking for new members. What does this mean for you? Well, if your lvl 65, know your class and like to have fun, you may be ready to take the next step in EQ. Read our MiM Requirements and if you meet them fill out our MiM Application.

This won't last long, we already have many recruits and our qualifications will soon go up as the need for new blood goes down. Classes most needed are Clerics, Necros(no lie!) and Wizards. Rogues and Gnomes need not apply(J/K!)

      The Truth

Allow me borrow a few words from an old AC/DC stand by:

    Back in black

    I hit the sack

I've been too long I'm glad to be back [I bet you know I'm...]

    Yes, I'm let loose

    From the noose

    That's kept me hanging about

I've been looking at the sky

    'Cause it's gettin' me high

Forget the hearse 'cause I never die

    I got nine lives

    Cat's Eyes

Abusin' every one of them and running wild

We're very much alive and kicking for those who may be interested. It just so happens that we're all too lazy to update the frontpage as any good EQ flunky should be. But in the immortal words of Jimmy Page, "Reflagging's a witch's left tit." At least I think he said that. No matter, we can either deal with it or follow the Jiriki philosophy of just waiting until enough people cry and they open all of PoP to the masses.

Personally, I think Jiriki rides the short bus home from school, but don't tell him I told you that. He has a knack for losing control of his arrows and hitting every damn thing but the mob. Gayngers I call them. Of course, I'm a mere Paligod, what would I know.

Regressing a bit, we've finally managed to flag 95% of the guild for Sol Ro's Tower so we've made it our new stomping grounds on the path to our mecca, The Holy Plane of Fire. The Mini's there that grant you access to Sol Ro himself have been a nice change of pace and given us a much needed plethora of new content. one can only deal with Wrulons (why the f isn't this my Holy Mount) and Elite Knights of Decay for so long before gouging his eyes out with the straws from the 9365 empty cups from various, illustrious fast food establishments ornamenting his desk. Let's get Kinthaf's opinion, shall we?

Here's a shot of a Sol Ro mini for the curious:

Of course Numia, our resident chanter with the big head (does any guild have humble Ench?), decides he can tank it since these mobs are nothing more than glorified trash mobs. Unfortunately, Numia is nothing more than a glorified trash enchanter as you can see here:

They're rather simple encounters with not too shabby rewards. It's the mundane clearing that keeps you from corpsing them more often. Of course, the obligatory money shot followed by the only reason some of you are even looking at this - the lewtz! Special bonus if you happen to continue reading - I continue to make fun of people and enjoy more face time.

As you can tell from the shot above, Numia was slapped so hard that he actually sounded more coherent than his usual Kindergarten grammar allows. And of course no mob slaying would be complete without a bona fide Talkius corpse. Somewhere, Dermel is crying with tears of everlasting joy. Here at MiM we cheer for Talkius' death as the offering is a sure sign of impending victory.

But the fun on this raid actually begins with the mob's death, for we had more than a few geniuses decide to partake in lava dipping - only to soon find out there was no escape from said lava and of course, no CoH. We all laugh together, here:

But no, it can't end there. It's really not that funny, yet. Until..

A picture is truly worth a thousand words in this case. What a night for Ober. Oops, it doesn't end there.

Good fun, good fun. Speaking of good fun, I'll close my face time by making fun of Rakizi, who always finds a new way to fall asleep and leech xp for 15-30 min until we figure out he isn't returning. Revenge is a bitter pill, indeed. But in this case, I'll have the last laugh.

And remember kids, a good Paladin always saves loh for others. But a smart Paladin saves it for himself.
