They are spectacular!

One of the featured budgies on this site, Pipsqueak, is mine. When I first got Pipsqueak, not quite a year ago, I knew budgies were smart, interactive, etc from a budgie we had years ago. I must admit, when I first found this site not long after I got Pipsqueak, I was VERY skeptical about some of the recordings, and theories. Pipsqueak began talking at about 3 mos of age, and not long after that, started clearly saying short easy sentences, in context. I came back to this site and reviewed it much more thoroughly, listened much more intently to the recordings, and many of my doubts began going away. Then I sent Ryan a tape of Pipsqueak.

I do not know Ryan Reynolds (other than from e-mail communications on this site), nor does he know me. He received my 1st tape, and subsequently a second tape, and began e-mailing me translations from those tapes. NOW I AM A TOTAL BELIEVER!! In these segments, Pipsqueak talks about things going on at home and at work, as I bring him to work sometimes, that Ryan couldn't have possibly known, and that made absolute sense! I begain to work even harder at understanding Pipsqueak even when his words weren't too clear. Living with this bird, not a day goes by that he doesn't say, or do, something absolutely amazing, demonstrating over and over his keen awareness of his surroundings, his intelligence and sense of humor, and his ability to communicate with the human species.

I am still not sure that it is possible to fully appreciate these amazing creatures without living with one, but I beg all of you that visit this site, and listen to Victor's and the other budgies' recordings, to please keep an open mind, as it is only a matter of time before Ryan's theories become fact. Thank you.

Special thanks to Ryan for allowing me to learn so much from this site, and giving myself and the other members a place to discuss and share our stories, recordings, and friendship. My thoughts are with all members who have recently suffered a lost of their precious budgies *group hugs*. They will always remain in our memories.

I am so awefully sorry about your dear sunshine. He was an exellent budgie and he was supremely intellegent. I know now that he is looking down on you and watching you. You must remember all of the wonderful things he gave to you and everything you gave to him. We are all here for you!

Hi, I am deeply interested in the talking birds because two of them are mine. They are just beginning to communicate with me and the world around them. I am fascinated to be part of the project. I have had pet budgies for years; but is is the first time I tried to train them to talk. And, it is not training. They teach themselves to talk. That is the most fantastic thing so far.
