The service for Neil was both touching and fitting for a intellectual of his magnitude. I felt proud and honored to be there among his family, friends, and so many noted scholars.

I would like to make one comment here about it: during the Rabbi's eulogy, someone's cell phone started ringing. Somewhere, I'm sure Neil was both shaking his head and laughing. Even though rude, it still was fitting: First, it shows the pervasiveness of technology in our culture, and second, the appropriateness of the ring: "Take Me Out to the Ball Game."
