Watch

Description: From Book Expo America 2003 in Los Angeles, California, two call-ins and a panel discussion on media bias with comedian Al Franken, syndicated columnist Molly Ivins, and Fox Newsman Bill O'Reilly. During the discussion, the panelists engaged in a heated debate over the perceived biases of particular news agencies. All of the panelists are authors of new or forthcoming books; "LIES, And The Lying Liars Who Tell Them:A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right," (Franken); "BUSHWHACKED" (Ivins); and "Who's Looking Out For You?" (O'Reilly). The event was moderated by Association of American Publishers President Pat Schroeder. Before the panel Mr. O'Reilly answered calls from viewers and after the panel Mr. Franken and Ms. Ivins did the same.

Ms. Ivins has written for Esquire, Atlantic, The Nation, Harper's, the Progressive, and Mother Jones. She has been a Pulitzer Prize finalist three times and won a Headliner's Award for best column on Texas.
