I've settled down somewhat with the routine of a Spartan household, and don't even mind vacuuming it, washing our few dishes by hand, making meals with limited supplies, and sleeping in a different bed. Yeah, I actually have a bed! Albeit a single one with a sponge mattress, but a bed nonetheless. Although I would o' found sleeping on an airbed fun (like camping), the bed is better than an airbed inflated by mouth because we don't have a pump.
The cats have settled down as much as they can and are grooving with the fact that there's some decent places for them to snooze, as well as lots of space for running around like loons, and great acoustics for mrowling.
Honing the system of my site's image galleries.
Am currently re-editing the several files I just edited, having thought they were the appropriate copies, getting them back to their former state. Although the thought now occurs that I should just download them or take 'em out of the backup I made yesterday. Huh.
No more Farscape. No more Buffy. :(
I think it's a bit of a pisser that I never see myself in the 'newly updated blogs' list (on the Blogger homepage). I don't even know when it would show up. I assume this is because I am (and thus my blog is) in a different time zone.
That's all I can think of for now.

30.11.03I kinda hate Snape. I don't know precisely why it is that I'm looking fully through a gallery of Snape fanart. Though who knows what you'll find in any particular fanart site... an artist may be able to give beauty to any character. That being said, I doubt my sanity when I click on a link like 'chibi snape'... but I did, and look what I stumbled over: Is not this picture pathetically cute? o_^

29.11.03So here I go, trying this Saturday Scruples thing:
1. At the local grocer, you see an elderly woman shoplift bacon. Do you tell the grocer?
Naw, I think I'd probably quietly confront the woman about it. Who knows why folks do desperate things sometimes. Mebbe she's just a nasty, but I'd wanna know before I told on her.
2. Your century old church is an architectural treasure but the congregation is declining. Developers offer $20 million and a sanctuary in the office tower they want to build. Do you accept?
Nope. I may not be Christian but I respect their holy places, especially when they're old and beautiful. I kinda wish pagans had some equally lovely temples...
3. A co-worker needs to leave early and asks you to punch her time card when you leave. Do you do it?
Yep. Do unto others, etc.

Ohh, someone sent me feedback! *hops* What a happy start to the day. :D

28.11.03It's F5 time :)
1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not?
Well, yes and no. I have a bad tendency to spend money I don't actually have (on credit, or money I'm supposed to save for something else). Money burns a hole in my pocket. But I love getting new things, and bringing home loot! I'm a careful shopper: I gotta have a plan, and more often than not I end up buying only what I know I want. Which pleases me.
2. What was the last thing you purchased?
Sarah McLachlan's new album. Yay.
3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why?
Definitely online. Walking around shopping makes my feet muchly sore, and besides, malls are thoroughly evil, like black holes for stirring up and draining folks' energy. Buying stuff online can be a bit worrisome, 'cause it can be difficult to know if a store(site) is trustworthy, and also whether you'll get precisely what you want. But I've had no bad experiences yet, and there's a world of goods out there to loot. :D Oh yeah, I love a bit of suspense as well - something to look forward to.
4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it?
For several years my sister and I got as much allowance as we worked for - three dollars per hour for housework - over and above a basic amount of pocket money, if memory serves. Might've been about ten dollars.
5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing?
I did regret buying my handbag and sunglasses right after I bought them because they took up a big glop of money in one day. They're the sort of practical things that one needs, but for which I loathe paying money. Yet despite the fact that I never really thought I'd enjoy sunglasses, I have.

I waxed (alas, not poetic). Extremely sticky - the stuff contains some sort of pine resin, for frell's sake. Painful, time-consuming, hair-consuming, though only partially successful.
I believe my brain is turning into custard.
Roll on December the 5th... I must get out of this place.

27.11.03Arrrgh, why am I always so restless with my web design? Not more than a week ago that I got my new layouts to a standard that pleased (and surprised) me, and now I'm looking at other people site's and asking "Why don't I do that, or mebbe this... or even that! Them's really neat tricks.
But I must stop somewhere, at least for a while! One cannot have a constantly upgraded and updated website design. Even adding little things to my blog takes wee bits of effort, and I end up feeling sort of unfinished, like there's a bigger job waiting to carry me off, and I really shouldn't go there.
That's the dangerous thing, I guess, with surfing too much: one sees all these fun things that one can do on a site, and one's focus begins to.... fray. But it's not a dispersion of energy - one feels the need to follow each trailing thread, as if it didn't have an END, really, but would keep on transporting one further... Mehhh, gotta stop. Just gotta.

24.11.03I have cramps, and a frequent need to evacuate retained fluids, but there's a Roux on my lap so I'm okay.
Crichton the Hairy is adorable and pitiable. Crichton the Hairless is snobby and creepy. Funnily enough they both have REALLY BIG TEETH. Animal... Human... Logic. They all need each other. All the members of Moya were cute and curious in each others' bodies. ^_^ Oh, and sub-Pilot camera is not good.
On another note. Goddess please let Jinny be all right. Let all of us be all right. Let us get through this transitional time with health, happiness, humanity and harmony intact.
Cats are our harshest critics. They look at you until you begin to doubt yourself, and then - and only then - do they smile. Samwise is in "meatloaf mode". (Ah ha ha ha!!.....)
