Serger Preemie Gown

Babies born too early are called "preemies." When these babies are born, their parents are surprised by their early arrival. Clothes small enough to fit preemies are almost impossible to find! You can help out by sewing small gowns that are sized appropriately for these tiny babies. Choose soft cotton fabrics in cute baby prints or pastel colors to cheer the family. Use your sewing machine or serger to create this special gift. Once you've made several, contact the hospital in your town or city, or the Human Services Department to donate the preemie gowns.
