Melbourne Gets Uptight

Some of the biggest pop and rock acts of the 60's are getting together for Uptight.

Uptight takes its name from the weekly 4 hour music show that used to run on Channel 0 (now Channel 10) from 1967-1969. It was hosted by Ross D. Wylie who will make a comeback to host this event at the Palais Theatre in August.

Ross D. Wylie had a number of hits of his own in the 60's including his Australian #1 "Here Comes The Star".

The line-up for the show is Normie Rowe, Johnny Young, Daryl Cotton, Russell Morris, Jim Keays (Masters Apprentices), Marcie Jones, Ronnie Charles (The Groop), Bobby Bright (Bobbie and Laurie) and The Strangers.

Uptight is at The Palais Theatre Friday August 22 for one night only. Tickets are $45 and go on sale July 31 from the Palais box office or phone charge (03) 9537 2444.
