This month saw the first of our first new look newsletters. We're finally
moving with the times so no more monthly mailings that look like something
out of the dark ages :-) If you would
like the technical explanation, it is now an html document rather than
plain old text. For the non-techies among you, it looks pretty. This month's
issue had a poetic flavour - Trevor Millum enthused about the potential
of the PC when exploring poems (if you missed this in the newsletter you
can read the full text, and respond, in the staffroom)
while in the KS4
update Julia raised the issue of how to 'get through' the volume of
poetry pupils need to experience for GCSE without completely destroying
their enthusiasm. If you don't already receive our English Teaching Online
newsletter now might just be the perfect time to sign up for regular English
teaching news and site updates (use the navy login box on the right!).
We're on the lookout for new contributors again. Becoming a Teachit contributor
is a great way to share your resources with thousands of colleagues simply
and easily, you'll always know where to find your own favourite materials
and, because we share our membership revenue with our key contributors,
there's the chance to earn money too. Drop
us a mail if you'd like to find out more about contributing to Teachit.
Until Christmas we're offering marvellous prizes in our nominate
your Teachit favourite resourceY

page to find out just how simple this one is to enter.
Enjoy.

Why
not print out some info to take into school?
Because we know how time consuming
searching the 'www' can be we've also added loads of suggested
external web links, just in case all of this isn't enough! Look
on the links page or in the individual schemes of work for these.
