2002 WUSA Season:

Pretinha began her first CyberRays season as a forward but was moved into the midfield 5/12 vs. San Diego. She scored her first CyberRays goal in the season opener 4/13 vs. Boston. Her goal 5/5 @ New York was the game’s only point. Assisted on Katia’s goal 6/9 vs. San Diego voted by fans as WUSA Goal of the Year.

2001 WUSA Season:

Pretinha scored the first goal in WUSA history when she connected on a penalty kick in the 70th minute of the Inaugural Game, giving the Washington Freedom a 1-0 victory over the CyberRays on April 14, 2001. Through the first five games of the season, Pretinha scored four goals and led the WUSA in goal scoring. She finished the season with five goals and two assists for 12 points, ranking her second on the team to Mia Hamm in goals and in points. She and Lindsey Stoecker were the only Freedom players to appear in all 21 matches.

National Team:

Pretinha has traveled as part of the World All-Star team competing against the US Women's Olympic Team in the 12 city Discovery Health Challenge Indoor Tour in 2000 taking place in Arenas across the USA. Pretinha has been a member of three Brazilian World Cup teams, 1991, 1995 and 1999. She also played with Brazil during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and the 2000 Olympics in Australia. Recognized by the worlds players as one of the most dangerous strikers, Pretinha's exceptional skill and shot provide excitement for fans every time she touches the ball.

Previous Club:

She began playing organized soccer at the age of 12, at 16 she moved to her current club, C.R. Vasco de Gama, where she has assisted them in winning three Brazilian National Club Championships in 1994, 1995, and 1998. During her time at Vasco the club has also won four Brazilian Regional Championships and two National Indoor Championships. Vasco is the top Women's Football Club in Brazil.
