Well-Known Catholic Apologists and Writers Comment on Dave Armstrong's Writing:

I spent over an hour romping around your website.  Nice, very nice . . . Good stuff. Keep up the great work . . .  rather remarkable cyber-talents.

Thanks again for the great work you're doing for Christ and His Church. No matter how long it's taken, the Lord clearly has you right where He wants you.

Dr. Scott Hahn

I highly recommend his work, A Biblical Defense of Catholicism, which I find to be thoroughly orthodox, well-written, and effective for the purpose of making Catholic truth more understandable and accessible to the public at large. It is, I firmly believe, a fine book of popular Catholic apologetics.

Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

I'm impressed by your industry . . . I hope you can find a publisher. If attractively printed and correctly promoted, your manuscript could sell widely.

Karl Keating

You utterly amaze me! Such good stuff . . . Dave, keep up your effective and eternally valuable apologetic journalism!

Marcus Grodi

I've been noticing a lot of positive comments from around the country on your apologetics efforts on the Internet. Bravo!

I admire, as ever, your fantastic and penetrating work for Christ and His Church.

Keep up the fantastic work with "Biblical Catholicism." All of us at Envoy love it and often refer people to it.

Patrick Madrid

Keep up the good work. I am constantly sending people to your page to find answers for their questions and sources for their search.

Steve Ray

God bless you in your indefatigable labors on behalf of the Faith! Only God knows how many lives your efforts have touched with the truth.

Your splendid book . . .  spreads forth a feast of intellectual nourishment for the Catholic faith. I do hope it has wide circulation . . .  God bless you and give you joy and strength in persevering in your important ministry.

Fr. Ray Ryland

I always appreciate your work.

 Fr. Peter M.J. Stravinskas

You have done a VERY great job on your web site. Keep up the excellent work!

Steve Wood

Your site continues to look good and to be among the most useful.

Mark Brumley

Wow, Dave--the fountain just keeps gushing! You'll never know this side of eternity just how many souls have been brought closer to the Kingdom and to the fullness of the Faith through your efforts. I recommend your website frequently . . . Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your labors of love . . .

Dr. Paul Thigpen

I think you have one of the best sites on the web. It's so amazingly thorough I'm dazzled at the incredible work you've put into it!  Way to go! May God continue to bless the work of your hands, friend.

Mark Shea

You do such good work. Without pride, don't minimize the gifts God has given you. Your web page is excellent and you are obviously a self-taught man.

Dr. Kenneth Howell

I certainly think it [the earlier, much longer version of my manuscript] is a valuable tool.

Fr. Joseph Fessio (Ignatius Press)

Dave Armstrong is one of the best kept secrets of the apologetics world. His apologetics ministry was one of God's tools through which I both reconciled with the Catholic Church and discerned my vocation as a canonist.

About the Author (Dave Armstrong)

Dave Armstrong is a full-time Catholic author, apologist, webmaster, and evangelist, who has been actively proclaiming and defending Christianity for more than twenty years. Formerly a campus missionary, as a Protestant, Dave was received into the Catholic Church in 1991, by the late, well-known catechist and theologian, Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

His conversion story was published in the bestselling book Surprised by Truth (edited by Patrick Madrid; San Diego: Basilica Press, 1994). Dave’s articles have appeared in many Catholic periodicals, including The Catholic Answer, This Rock, Envoy, Hands On Apologetics, The Coming Home Journal, and The Latin Mass. His apologetic and writing apostolate was the subject of a feature article in the May 2002 issue of Envoy.

His large and popular website, Biblical Evidence for Catholicism (http://www.biblicalcatholic.com), has been online since March 1997, and received the 1998 Catholic Website of the Year award from Envoy Magazine. (Dave was also nominated for Best New Evangelist by the same magazine). It is also consistently rated as one of the most-visited Catholic apologetics websites on the Internet, according to the web-rating site, Alexa Web Search (affiliated with amazon.com).

Dave’s first book, A Biblical Defense of Catholicism (Foreword by Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.) was published by Sophia Institute Press in June 2003, and the companion-piece, More Biblical Evidence for Catholicism (Foreword by Dr. Scott Hahn) was published by 1stBooks Library in February 2002 (the first book having originally been released by 1stBooks in October 2001). Dave  wrote all of the apologetic commentary (44 articles) for The Catholic Answer Bible (2002), the pamphlet, Top Ten Questions Catholics Are Asked (2002), and a chapter in the book, The Catholic Answer Book of Mary (edited by Peter M.J. Stravinskas -- 2000) -- all published by Our Sunday Visitor. He has also appeared on the nationally-syndicated Catholic radio shows Faith and Family Live (Steve Wood), Kresta in the Afternoon (Al Kresta),  and Catholic Answers Live (Jerry Usher; connected with Karl Keating's apologetic organization).

Dave’s writing has been enthusiastically endorsed by many leading Catholic apologists, authors, and catechists, including Dr. Scott Hahn, Fr. Peter M.J. Stravinskas, Marcus Grodi, Patrick Madrid, Steve Ray, Fr. Ray Ryland, and Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

He married Judy Kozora in 1984; they have four children (three boys and a girl), and live near Detroit, Michigan.
