We are a group of teenagers interested in your opinion. This project we are working on is about the way showbizz has changed within the last five decades. Although the first celebrities used to be unique, nowadays one can run into a celebrity on the corner of one's own street! In the past, celebrities were also fewer, since mass means of communication weren't as popular as they are now. For instance, think of ten celebrities from now. Easy, right? Now try to think of ten from the 20's, for exemple. It's not as easy as it seems, is it? Celebrities had to have 'something' that would catch peoples’ attention. Some of the most famous celebrities were Marilyn Monroe, Charles Chaplin, Elvis Presley and the Beatles. So what do you think: has showbizz lost its glamour? When was it the better, now or then? Below you will find two questionnaires: on the first you can test your knowledge about old celebrities. On the second you can send us your opinion about this topic. We also want to know what the world (you guys!) think about this topic. Based on this project results, your answers to our questions, we will compare showbizz now and then.
