| I am a student at Yázigi, from Florianópolis, Brazil. My name’s Ricardo, and I decided to research on surfing. Surfing is the art of riding the face of wave, which was born hundreds of miles away in a storm. This art, as all surfers like to call it (as opposed to a sport), requires a good sense of balance and besides love for the ocean. Learning how to surf is not an easy task, it also requires a lot of dedication. For instance, learning to sit up right on your board, or even to paddle the right way can be a hard task.
One of the most famous athletes in the world is Kelly Slater. He has won the world championship 6 times, therefore he is my favorite athlete. I have already surfed and I can tell you that surfing is one of the best sports in the world!
