Keith D. Thomas, a Senior Intelligence Professional, is technical director and deputy director, Air Force Cryptologic Office, Fort George G. Meade, Md. In this position, he represents U.S. Air Force interests in the national and international cryptologic communities. As the AFCO's strategic planner, he is responsible for advocating, justifying, obtaining and defending necessary resources to support the services' cryptologic activities. Thomas serves as an Air Force technical authority with the National Security Agency on the concept development and systems acquisition of information operations, signals intelligence, and information security equipment and systems. He provides technical direction, oversight and guidance to Air Force cryptologic activities worldwide.

Thomas is a 1979 graduate of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. He received a master's degree in business administration in 1999 from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, and one year later, earned a master's degree in strategic studies from the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
