Colorado Libertarian gets to say 'I told you so'
[February 3] Last fall, Ralph Shnelvar told voters in Boulder County, Colo., that the local government didn't need more tax money to pay for an expansion of the county jail. It now appears that Shnelvar -- who ran for governor of Colorado on the Libertarian ticket in 2002 -- was correct. » Read the story

Film to document Ed Thompson's campaign
[Janurary 30] A restaurant owner is raided by police, discovers the danger of an over-reaching government, stands up to said government in court and wins. Sounds like a movie, right? It's actually the story of Wisconsin Libertarian Ed Thompson, who ran for governor of his state in 2002. But this spring it will also be a movie. » Read the story

Libertarian message hitting Florida's radio waves
[January 27] Libertarians in central Florida have started their own radio program -- and they're finding that the public is genuinely interested in Libertarian ideas. "We had our inaugural program on Jan. 10, so we've only had three shows," said Michael Gilson-De Lemos, a Florida LP member who co-hosts the show, Freedom Works! "But the station we're working with is actually quite shocked at how well we're doing." » Read the story

Libertarian named president of fathers' rights group
[January 23] Dr. Stephen Baskerville, a member of the Libertarian Party of Virginia, was recently named president of the American Coalition for Fathers and Children.
