Welcome! SGH's advanced engineering solutions are founded on these special attributes of the firm:
SGH staff are leaders in their field. Most hold graduate degrees and many have doctorates. While demonstrating innovation in meeting engineering challenges, SGH staff frequently contribute to the industry's leading technical publications, and assist in authoring state and national standards and codes. We take pride in the loyalty of our colleagues at SGH; most of our senior members have been with the firm for many years, ensuring continuity of client relationships and consistency of engineering services. From our offices in Arlington, Massachusetts (near Boston) and San Francisco, California, we readily serve clients throughout the world. Our facilities include a substantial laboratory operated by material scientists and technicians. SGH was established in 1956, and now employs 150 persons. We currently have several openings for engineering staff and welcome inquiries from qualified individuals. SGH is an equal-opportunity employer. The next tier of this Web site is organized by our four practice areas and by three spheres of company-wide expertise. Practice Areas Building Structures - new buildings, renovations, remediations, repair and restoration. Company-wide Expertise Investigations - failure analysis, existing conditions surveys, remediation
plans, product evaluations, and litigation assistance. Other parts of our Web site include representative technical papers by SGH staff, a description of our information systems, and information about reaching us and directions to SGH. |
