Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. designs, investigates, and retrofits buildings and structures of all types. We design structural elements and assemblies, building envelope systems, and mechanical structures. Our investigations and research encompass a wide range of building components and structural problems, construction-related activities, and the performance of materials and manufactured products.

SGH staff are leaders in their field. Most hold graduate degrees and many have doctorates. While demonstrating innovation in meeting engineering challenges, SGH staff frequently contribute to the industry's leading technical publications, and assist in authoring state and national standards and codes. We take pride in the loyalty of our colleagues at SGH; most of our senior members have been with the firm for many years, ensuring continuity of client relationships and consistency of engineering services.

From our offices in Arlington, Massachusetts (near Boston) and San Francisco, California, we readily serve clients throughout the world. Our facilities include a substantial laboratory operated by material scientists and technicians.

SGH was established in 1956, and now employs 150 persons. We currently have several openings for engineering staff and welcome inquiries from qualified individuals. SGH is an equal-opportunity employer.
