"THE HELP" LEADS THE WB TO MOST-WATCHED FRIDAY
OF THE SEASON

"THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT" SCORES SEASON HIGHS FOR ITS TIME PERIOD IN SEVERAL DEMOS AND TOTAL VIEWERS

BURBANK, CA (March 9, 2004) - The WB Network, behind the strength of the premiere of THE HELP and the return to the schedule of THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT, had a successful week as it improved over the parallel week last season in total viewers (3.8 million, +4%), female teens (3.0/10, +11%) and men 18-34 (1.4/4, +17%). The network also maintained its entire audience compared to the same week last year in adults 18-34 (1.8/5), persons 12-34 (1.9/6), women 12-34 (2.4/7), men 12-34 (1.3/4), adults 18-49 (1.8/5), men 18-34 (1.2/3) and teens (2.1/7).

Premiere Of "The Help" Scores Time Period Season Highs For The WB In Total Viewers And Adults 18-34 And Achieves #2 Time Period Rank Across The 12-34 Demos And #3 In Adults 18-34

"Reba" Keeps On Rolling As Both Airings Of The Comedy Hit Rank #1 In Their Respective Time Periods Among Women 12-34 And Female Teens And #2 In Women 18-34

The premiere of THE HELP not only attracted the most viewers to the 9:30-10:00 p.m. Friday time period this season (3.3 million) for The WB, it led the network to its most-watched Friday of the season (3.9 million).

THE HELP also achieved the highest ratings of the season for its time period in adults 18-34 (1.6/6), men 12-34 (1.3/5) and men 18-49 (1.0/3). Ron Leavitt's take on "Upstairs, Downstairs" placed #2 in its time period among persons 12-34 (1.6/6), women 12-34 (2.0/8), men 12-34 (1.3/5) and men 18-34 (1.2/5). THE HELP, which scored across-the-board growth compared to the time period's average and virtually across-the-board time period gains over last week, was also #3 in adults 18-34 (1.6/6).

REBA keeps on rolling as it again led off the night with two successful back-to-back episodes. At 8:00-8:30 p.m., REBA was #1 in women 12-34 (2.3/9) and female teens (2.5/12), #2 in women 18-34 (2.2/8) and #3 in adults 18-34 (1.7/7), persons 12-34 (1.7/7), men 18-34 (1.2/5) and men 12-34 (1.2/5). At 8:30-9:00 p.m., REBA was #1 in women 12-34 (2.4/9), teens (2.4/10) and female teens (3.4/14), #2 in women 18-34 (2.0/8) and #3 in adults 18-34 (1.5/6) and persons 12-34 (1.7/7).

For the night, The WB was #2 in persons 12-34 (1.7/7), women 12-34 (2.2/9) and #1 in female teens (2.7/12).

"The Jamie Kennedy Experiment" Returns to Set New Time Period Season Highs

THE JAMIE KENNEDY EXPERIMENT is back and better than ever as its return to the lineup garnered extremely positive results with the highest ratings of the season for its time period in men 18-34 (1.4/4), men 12-34 (1.4/4), adults 18-49 (1.3/3), women 18-49 (1.4/3), men 18-49 and in total viewers (3 million). JKX equaled its season best among adults 18-34 and it improved the time period compared to the parallel week a year ago in all key demos.

Other show highlights:

  • GILMORE GIRLS was #2 in its time period, trailing only "American Idol," in adults 18-34 (2.4/7), persons 12-34 (2.4/7), women 18-34 (3.2/8), women 12-34 (3.6/10), teens (2.6/8) and female teens (4.4/14).
  • ONE TREE HILL, featuring Sheryl Crow, was #3 in its time period among women 12-34 (3.4/9).
  • SMALLVILLE ranked #2 in its hour among persons 12-34 (2.8/9), men 18-34 (2.8/9), men 12-34 (2.8/9) and men 18-49 (2.2/6) and #3 in adults 18-34 (2.7/8), women 12-34 (2.7/8) and men 18-49 (2.2/6). SMALLVILLE achieved triple-digit gains compared to the same time period the parallel week last year in several demos, including persons 12-34 (+115%), adults 18-34 (+108%), men 18-34 (+250%), men 12-34 (+211%), teens (+123%), female teens (+142%) as well as total viewers (5.3 million, +156%).
  • 7TH HEAVEN at 8 p.m. was #3 in its hour among persons 12-34 (2.4/7), women 18-34 (3.4/9) and women 12-34 (3.8/10),
  • CHARMED at 8 p.m. was #3 in its time period in women 12-34 (2.6/7).
