Melissa is a researcher, trainer and mediator with over 10 years’ experience in conflict resolution in the U.S., South Africa and Australia. She is currently working with the International Conflict Resolution Centre at the University of Melbourne

Melissa recently completed a major three-part evaluation of Online Alternative Dispute Resolution for the Department of Justice Victoria. This involved a comprehensive study of 76 online ADR sites as well as a needs assessment of demand for online services among citizens and agencies.

The quality of this research has been recognised by invitations to speak at international events, including the United Nations Forum on Online Dispute Resolution in July 2003. Melissa is a member of the UN Expert Working Group on Online Dispute Resolution.
