(L) Acute non-lymphoblastic leukemia (M7) (Acute megakaryocytic leukemia). This high-oil magnification view of a bone marrow aspirate shows the large blasts characteristic of this disease. (R) The myeloperoxidase stain is often useful in identifying myeloid blasts. Black granules are characteristic of a positive reaction. This frame shows markedly positive M3 blasts.
