WHAT CREATIVE LISTENERS I HAVE
Yesterday the following bit appeared in Nealz Nuze:
"I heard a CNN reporter this morning hammering home the point that we just
don't know who is behind these attacks. The hell we don't. The people behind
these attacks are Islamic terrorists! They're cut from the same cloth as
those who attacked New York City and Washington DC. They're the brethren of
the Islamic terrorists who blew up that nightclub in Bali. Saddam loyalists,
Hamas, Palestinians, Al Qaeda ... whatever. They're all but teams in the
Muslim Terrorist League."
A listener sent that excerpt back to me with the following:
The Muslim Terrorist League... ha. The MTL. I wonder
if they have a draft.
Announcer:
"...and Abdul Kaliq Istanbul is a real up-and-comer... first car bombing at
age 11, and first pointless hand to hand killing before he reached 13. Now @
age 14 he is seeking early entry into the MTL, as he heard they have
instituted a salary cap prior to next year."
Abdul Kaliq Istanbul: "I can get $37,000 and 7 virgins
this year. If I wait until next year, it might be less than half that. I
will only live two years before I will meet Allah upon a glorious mission, so
I need to make what I can now."
I don't' care who you are .. .now that's funny.
(Apologies to Larry)
NOW THE RED CROSS IS TALKING ABOUT BAILING OUT
A few interesting points about yesterday's suicide car bombing of the Red
Cross headquarters in Baghdad.
Point one; The International Red Cross and other international aid agencies
are talking about pulling their personnel out of Baghdad. They're in good
company there. The United Nations did much the same thing a few weeks ago
after UN personnel were targeted by terrorists. Score another victory to
the terrorists.
Point two: There is evidence that these suicide bombings are the work
of terrorists who have actually entered Iraq, most likely through Syria, to wage
battle against the presence of American troops. The evidence is that
Saddam's Baath Party loyalists have no history of suicide bombings.
So, it would look like the terrorists are actually coming to Iraq to fight
the American troops. This is viewed by some as being a good thing ...
certainly much better than waiting for the Islamic terrorists to come back over
here for another round.
CALIFORNIA WILDFIRES -- AND TOM DASCHLE
Let's not forget the environmentalists as these fires rage through
California. It is the eco-radicals who have prevented thinning of these
very areas that are burning. The environmentalists protested and fought,
the areas that were to be thinned remained clogged with fuel for wildfires, and
1,000 homes burn.
Here's something else you might not remember. In 2000, which, by the
way, was an election year, Tom Daschle added a little amendment to a defense
spending bill. That amendment exempted logging interests in Sough Dakota
from restrictive environmental regulations that prevented thinning of forests
and wooded areas that could be threatened by wildfires. The amendment also
excepted South Dakota loggers from lawsuits by the environmental crowd.
The environmentalists didn't so much as raise an eyebrow .. not even the Sierra
Club. And why not? Because Daschle is a liberal Democrat .. and
environmentalism isn't so much about our environment as it is about conservative
vs. liberal politics.
I wonder how many environmentalists homes have been lost in California in the
last week.
MORE ON PELOSI'S "TERRORIZING" REMARKS
Yesterday I told you about California Democrat Nancy Pelosi's remarks about
those illegal immigrants who have been arrested at Wal-Mart stores across the
country. She said that American law enforcement officials were terrorizing
these law-breaking illegal immigrants. Yup .. there was our House
Minority Leader telling her audience that the men and women of American law
enforcement were, in essence, terrorists.
Michele Malkin brought up an interesting point on Hannity and Colmes last
night. Nancy Pelosi has now joined a growing list of Democrats and
assorted leftists who make comments such as this from foreign soil.
Pelosi's comments were made in Mexico. Pandering to the Latino vote in
California and elsewhere is so important to Pelosi and her ilk that they'll even
stoop to implying American police and immigration officers are terrorists.
Pelosi is now scrambling to say that she didn't mean to actually use the word
"terrorize." She really meant to say "traumatize," or something like that.
The backtracking is being done back here at home. The words she left in
Mexico remain.

North Korea has delivered
400 ballistic
missiles to clients in the Middle East. That would be Muslim
clients. No worries though. I'm sure the U.N. is on the job.

Cal
Thomas: "CBS will air a miniseries, "The
Reagans," Nov. 16 and 18. If a script obtained by the New York Times correctly
depicts the final product, the show will bear as much resemblance to the real
Ronald Reagan as Santa Claus reflects the real meaning of Christmas."
Thomas writes some more on
the
lynching of Janice Rogers Brown. Liberals can say and do vicious
things about and to black Americans ... so long as the black American happens to
be a conservative black American.
Mike Adams, an associate professor at the University of
North Carolina - Wilmington, urges you to
stop
donating money to your college or university if it is violating students
rights to freedom of association and speech. Good column.
Why aren't we hearing more about the presidential
candidates Al Sharpton and Carol Mosley Braun? Armstrong Williams has a
better question:
Is
this the best blacks the Democratic party has to offer?
During World War II America developed the atomic bomb
because we were petrified that Hitler was very close to doing the same. It
turns out that Hitler wasn't close at all.
Did we then go on a witch hunt for those responsible for faulty intelligence?
This great column from Jay Bryant gives you some amazing historical perspective.
The
Patriot Act. Does it go too far, or are we just a bunch of Chicken
Littles. Millions of Americans think the law goes too far. Three
states and 200 cities have passed resolutions expressing concerns.
NOW
ONE GOOD PICTURE --- HELP!
As amazing at it may seem, there is not one single extant good picture of the
Magi laying gifts at the feet of The Baby Jesus at the Hannityfest last
weekend. As Royal would say ... Just Damn. We spent a pantload of
money on those costumes, and nobody on our entire staff managed to get one good
picture. Soooooo ... the plea goes out to those of you who were in
attendance at the Hannityfest. Do you have a good picture of Clark, Scott
and myself as the three Magi approaching the hallowed ground upon which Cutie
Pie stood? Send the picture to highpriest@cox.com
The best one gets an autographed Neal Boortz bobblehead doll and our undying
gratitude. |
