Pineapple Angel Pin

Materials: Size 10 crochet thread, size 7 steel crochet hook, stiffener, pin back or small safety pin.

Gauge: Not too important

Finished Size: 3" x 3" (Note: For 2" x 2" size use size 30 crochet thread and size 10 steel crochet hook)

Special Stitch:
   Cluster (cl):
Work 2 dc in st indicated holding back last loop of each, yo, pull thru all 3 loops on hook.

Head:
Rnd 1:
Ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook, join. (12)

Rnd 2: * Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1, sl st into next dc; rep from * 9 times, sl st into last dc, ch 4, 7 trc in same dc, turn.

Body (worked in rows from herein):
Row 1:
Ch 2, dc in first trc, ch 2, sc in next trc, (ch 3, sc in next trc) 5 times, ch 2, cl in top of ch-4, turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch-3, sc in next ch-3 loop) 4 times, ch 2, cl in top of dc, turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch-3, sc in next ch-3 loop) 3 times, ch 2, cl in top of dc, turn.

Row 4: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 loop, (ch-3, sc in next ch-3 loop) 2 times, ch 2, cl in top of dc, turn.

Row 5: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 2, sc in next ch-3 loop, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 loop, ch 2, cl in top of dc, turn.

Row 6: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 2, sc in ch-3 loop, ch 2, cl in top of dc, turn.

Row 7: Ch 2, dc in cl, ch 1, cl in dc, turn.

Row 8: Ch 2, skip cl, dc in dc, fasten off.

Wings:
Row 1:
With right side facing, attach thread with sl st around first trc of Rnd 2 of Head, ch 3, 5 dc around same trc, turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, dc in first dc, ch 2, sc in next dc, (ch 3, sc in next dc) 3 times, ch 2, cl in top of ch, turn.

Rows 3 - 7: Rep Rows 4-8 of Body. 

Work 2nd wing on opposite side to correspond.

Finishing: Stiffen angel using your favorite method and pin out on top of waxed paper covered board making sure wings are tucked behind head. Let dry completely and glue pin back to wrong side.
