2002 WUSA Season:

Clemens began the season in Philadelphia as a starter, but when Kelly Smith went down with an injury and the Charge moved to a 4-5-1 formation, Clemens was the odd-woman out. She finished the season with two goals and two assists, scoring her first of the season on 5/4 vs. Boston and added her first assist one game later 5/11 vs. Washington. Played 90 minutes in eight of the 11 games she started. Missed one game due to national team duty, 4/27 @ NY. Missed two games as a result of a coach’s decision. Appeared in 30th career game on 6/23 @ SD. Surpassed the 2,000 minute mark on 8/7 vs. SJ.

2001 WUSA Season:

First season with Charge … Started 13-of-21 regular-season contests, scoring five goals and recording three assists for 13 points, which was second best on the team … Had a goal and an assist in the semifinal game against the Atlanta Beat (8/18) … In her final four starts of the regular season, Clemens had three goals and two assists … Scored a personal-best two goals in a 5-1 win over Carolina on 8/6 … Unloaded nine shots, scoring once, in a 2-1 win over the New York Power (7/30) … Had one game-winning goal.

National Team:

Through the 2000 season, has four career caps (all starts) with one assist for the U.S. National Team … Started all three games at the Australia Cup in January 2000, helping the United States win the second annual tournament … Recorded an assist in an 8-1 victory over the Czech Republic on Jan. 7 … Started in her first career appearance with the National Team on Feb. 24, 1999, a 3-1 win over Finland in Orlando, Fla.

College:

Enjoyed a prolific career at Santa Clara University from 1996-99 … Holds school records for most career goals (67), assists (65) and points (199) … Became the fifth person in NCAA history to record at least 60 goals and 60 assists in a career … Ranks first all-time in assists in West Coast Conference history and second in goals and points … Started 88-of-95 career games … Named the WCC Player of the Year in each of her final three seasons … Helped Santa Clara to four NCAA Final Fours … Set Santa Clara single-season records with 23 assists and 71 points in 1999 … Her 24 goals were the second best single-season total at SCU … Helped Santa Clara go undefeated during the regular season and earn a No. 1 ranking in the polls ... Swept both of the prestigious national post-season player of the year awards, winning the Hermann Trophy and the Missouri Athletic Club Award … Also named the NSCAA Division I Player of the Year and first team All-WCC.
