Frequently Asked Questions
Get your questions answered!

How do I write to the cast?
You can write to the cast at 'Neighbours, Grundy Television Pty Ltd, Private Bag 9003 Richmond, Vic, 3121, Australia.'

Why isn't there an omnibus?
There isn't room in the schedule to show all 5 episodes at once. Neighbours is already shown twice a day 5 times a week which is more than most shows. Available spaces in the schedule have to be allocated fairly to allow room for a range of programmes.

When did Neighbours start?
The first episode was transmitted in the UK on 27/10/86.

When is the 20th anniversary?
The 20th Anniversary in Australia is going to be the first episode of 2005 - which is episode 4635. That episode will be transmitted between 10 and 12 weeks into the UK 2005 season (approx March 21st).

Where is Neighbours filmed?
Neighbours is filmed in two locations, the outside scenes are filmed in a real street in Melbourne. The indoor scenes are filmed at the Global Television Complex in Nunawading, Victoria.

Can you look round the set?
You can visit the set by going on the Official Neighbours tour. Just visit www.neighbourstour.com for details

Who does the music on Neighbours?
Most of the music on Neighbours is written specifically for the show by Chris Pettifer. To find out more about the music read our Backstage Interview. Last year some of the more common songs from the show were released on CD in Australia. This can be ordered at UK HMV stores, failing that online at HMV Australia or Amazon.com

Where can I buy Neighbours DVDs? Defining Moments DVD

Where is Joe Scully?
Joe Scully is currently away in Bendigo helping his brother and father after a farm accident. Speculation surrounding the actor's departure from the show is considered inappropriate for inclusion on BBC's messageboards due to legal reasons.

Where is Dee?
Toadie and Dee's car crashed off a cliff after their wedding. Toadie emerged from the water but Dee's body was never found. Speculation about her returning is unfounded. The actress is currently pursuing a musical career.

Where did Nina Tucker go?
Nina went away to India with her father. This came about following the discovery that the actress (Delta Goodrem) had cancer. Delta recently returned to the Neighbours set to film her final scenes which give her character a proper goodbye. She returned to the UK screen on 18th November.

How far is Neighbours behind Australia in the UK?
We are approximately 8 weeks behind.

Is bbc.co.uk/neighbours just for UK fans?
The Neighbours website is funded by UK licence fee payers so it's aimed at the UK audience, however, Australians are more than welcome. We are planning to open a Neighbours Spoiler board so Aussie fans will have a place to chat too.
