Clyde Amburn, SPHR, CCP, is a human resources professional with 25 years of experience in diverse organizations, including wholesale distribution, food service, banking and government. Amburn has extensive experience managing the HR function at the regional level, with a focus on recruitment, employee relations, labor relations, and compensation and benefits administration. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a business degree and has done graduate work in human resources at Virginia Commonwealth University. Most recently, Amburn has performed contract assignments for HRIS implementation and benefits administration projects with Virginia Power, Overnite Transportation and Philip Morris.

Stuart Basefsky is an Information Specialist and Instructor at the Martin P. Catherwood Library, School of Industrial & Labor Relations, Cornell University. Since 1993, he has specialized in workplace information issues. Among his accomplishments is the design and creation of the award winning course, "HR Online Research and Reporting Methods" in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Human Resource Studies. With 20 years' experience in information and library science, Basefsky's work has included teaching the "Government Documents" course at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (3 years); working as a government documents and public policy specialist at Duke University (10 years) and North Carolina State University (3 years); and consulting, most recently for the ILO in Geneva. Basefsky holds a bachelor's degree in international affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder, a masters degree in international studies and education from Duke University, and a masters degree in information and library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also has two years of legal training at the University of Colorado Law School.

Robert Gibson, SPHR, has over 21 years of experience in the human resources field. He left the transportation industry after nine years to work in health care. Gibson is currently the Senior Director of Operating Services at the Community Hospital of Ottawa in Ottawa, Illinois. His primary responsibility is the human resources function for the facility's 560 employees. He is a member of SHRM and ASHHRA, and is an officer of a regional healthcare human resources group.

Deborah A. Keary, SPHR, is Director of the Information Center for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The Information Center serves more than 110,000 SHRM members and responds to more than 5,000 requests for information each month. Keary holds a Master's Degree in Library Science. She has been with SHRM for almost 10 years, and after answering thousands of questions about human resources, has earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification. She is an active member of the Special Libraries Association and the Association Libraries Group in Washington, D.C.

John W. Kerlish, SPHR, is the founder and President of Human Resources Management Associates, Inc., a national HR consulting firm. Kerlish has more than 25 years' experience in HR management, including establishing human resources departments, implementing integrated HR and payroll information software, developing company personnel policies, designing and installing compensation and benefits plans, and designing and implementing technical and management training. In addition, Kerlish has planned and executed human resource management strategies in mergers, acquisitions, and other organizational restructuring. He has earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees and is active in the American Compensation Association, the American Society for Training and Development, and the Society for Human Resources Management. He has served two terms as President, and continues to serve as a Director, of SHRM Chapter 457.

Kelly C. Neill, SPHR, is Vice President and an owner of The Human Element of Business, Inc. With a BBA in Management and over thirteen years experience in the field of human resources, Neill achieved lifetime certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). Neill has served as President, and in various other leadership capacities, in the El Paso, Texas chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She also serves on the national HRCI board and the Area IV board of SHRM. Neill is the local Chair of the Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce, as well as a member of the state board and an alumnus of the 1997 class of Leadership El Paso.

Connie Roy-Czyzowski, SPHR, is the Vice President, Human Resources for Northeast Delta Dental, a leader in the dental marketplace in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, and the "Best Business NH - 1997" and one of the "Ten Best Companies to Work For in New Hampshire in 1998," according to Business NH Magazine. Roy-Czyzowski has over 18 years of experience in Human Resources and received her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources in 1993 through the Society for Human Resource Management. She has been on the Board of Directors for a SHRM Chapter, the Manchester Area Human Resources Association, and served as Membership Chair, VP - Monthly Meeting Chair, Annual Meeting Chair, and as President in 1996 and 1997. Roy-Czyzowski also serves as Vice Chair of the Board for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester, and has been an instructor at the NH Fire Standards and Training Commission and the NH Police Standards and Training Commission.

Laura Sorey, CEBS, is Assistant Vice President of Human Resources with Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company, where she originally started in 1986 as a computer programmer. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with an Accounting/Data Processing major, Sorey earned her Certified Data Processor (CDP) designation in 1988 and her Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (CEBS) designation in 1991.

Bill Webb, SPHR, is Director of Corporate Human Resources for MPSI Systems Inc., with responsibility for all of the company's human resource activities in the United States and foreign offices. With over 25 years of human resource experience, Webb has been involved in all areas of the profession. Webb began his professional career as an Industrial Engineer and also has served in operational management roles. Webb received his Bachelors degree from Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas, and is an Adjunct Instructor at Tulsa Community College, teaching courses in Benefits Management and Compensation Management.
