Other major 20th-century works which Simon Joly has conducted include Birtwistle's... agm..., Henze's Novae de infinito Laudes with the bbc Philharmonic and The Raft of the Medusa with the bbc Symphony Orchestra. He and the bbc Singers have given many performances of Messiaen's Cinq Rechants, and he has also conducted the group in Berio's Coro with the London Sinfonietta at La Scala, Milan. Simon Joly conducted the bbc Singers in the first performance of Peter Paul Nash's Apollinaire Choruses (released on cd for nmc), and also recorded with the group a disc for Collins Classics of Peter Maxwell Davies's choral works.
