T-Mobile ring in for Portugal

UEFA has confirmed today that T-Mobile will be an official partner of UEFA EURO 2004™ in Portugal.

Exclusive services
During the tournament, T-Mobile will be offering exclusive services and content in a number of European markets, such as still images via picture messaging (MMS), and match headlines and results via text messaging (SMS). One highlight of the T-Mobile service will be the fast transmission of match highlights directly to mobile devices as full-colour video clips. Similar content will be distributed exclusively in Portugal by TMN.

Instant acccess
UEFA Chief Executive Gerhard Aigner said: "I am delighted to announce that the eighth official partner of the UEFA EURO 2004™ programme has been signed up. Alongside the traditional forms of communication, T-Mobile will ensure that the UEFA European Football Championship in Portugal, one of the world's largest sporting events, will be available to fans at any time, via their mobile phone, wherever they may be."

Impressive list
T-Mobile joins Canon, Carlsberg, Coca-Cola, Hyundai Motor Company, JVC, MasterCard and McDonald's as official partners, and NTT Com and Portugal Telecom as official technology partners, in the UEFA EURO 2004™ marketing programme.
