We understand that you might have concerns about security when using credit cards online. To help minimise those fears we have installed Secure Layers (SSL) Protocol to capture and encrypt your payment information as it is transmitted along the internet. Further adding to that security is our digital certificate from Thawte which provides you with the highest level of protection commercially available. We also guarantee that we will not rent or sell your personal information (name, address etc) to any third party.
Whammo does not have access to credit card details as all transactions are processed securely at the time of purchase.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST (goods and services tax). This tax, equivalent to 1/11th of the price displayed, is automatically deducted for orders shipped overseas. Please note that the UK and US prices are shown as a GUIDE only and these approximate prices exclude GST. Your credit card will be charged in Australian dollars. The corresponding amount in your local currency will depend on the exchange rate applied by your financial institution.

Postage/shipping charges are determined by the total weight of your order and the destination country.
To work out what shipping charge would apply to your order, proceed through the "checkout" as if you are buying online. Once you have selected your items and entered your address, the shipping price will be calculated for you. This is Step 3 of the Checkout process and you can exit at this stage as no transactions have been made. Please feel free to email us if you require further information, or an order quote.

5. USING YOUR CREDIT CARD
|
|
Please note that your credit card will be charged at the time of placing your order, not upon shipping. This is because we're a secure site and, in the interests of your credit card security, don't retain or store your credit card information and are therefore unable to process the charge at a later date.
If we cannot ship an item in your order within a time-frame suitable to you, note that refunds can be processed. |

Our prices do not include insurance. We recommend that if your order is over AU$200 excluding shipping, that you email us for insurance to be applied as it will cover for any loss or damage during transit. Note that insurance will incur an adidtional cost of around AU$9.00 or above, depending on the value of your order.

7. HOW LONG WILL MY ORDER TAKE?
|
|
If you place your order before 12 midday AEST and all items are in stock, your order will be dispatched on the same day, unless your order is placed over the weekend and it will then ship on the following work day. Should we not be fully stocked of all items on your order after ten days, we will make a part shipment of the items that we have managed to obtain; a second (and final) shipment will be made once the remaining items are restocked. The charge for the above arrangement is fully processed at point of order.
In the case of back ordered items delaying a second shipment, or if you would rather not wait for the full restock to enable the second shipment, it will be possible for you to contact mac@whammo.com.au who will arrange and charge for additional part shipments.
Shipping and Delivery Times
Whammo uses Australia Post to deliver by airmail worldwide. The cost is automatically calculated for you at checkout and depends on the total weight of your order. This information is provided before you supply your credit card details and accordingly you can cancel your order at this stage if you wish.
Shipping times depend on the postal service and customs clearance in the destination country, as well as the postal service in Australia. Accordingly we are unable to guarantee delivery times, but here are some estimates you can use as a guide:
Australia: 1-4 days
New Zealand: 4-5 days
Asia/Pacific: 6-8 days
North America: 7-10 days
UK and Europe: 7-10 days
Rest of World: 7-10 days
Please note that Australia Post does not guarantee delivery before 60 days (in extreme cases), so your patience is appreciated.

8. HAVING PROBLEMS ORDERING?
|
|
Whammo's checkout faclility requires that you have both Cookies and JavaScript enabled (turned on) to ensure all pages are loaded correctly. If you experience problems trying to make a purchase online, please check that your browser complies with these requirements. Also, Whammo is best views on Internet Explorer and Netscape versions 5.9 or lower.
To change browser settings for Internet Explorer:
1. Open the Tools menu and choose Internet Options
2. Click on the Security heading and then Custom Level
3. Head down the list of options and Enable the 'Scripting Java Applets'
To change browser settings for Netscape Navigator:
1. Open the Edit menu and choose Preferences
2. Under the Privacy & Security category, click Cookies.
3. Enable all cookies

Whammo does not have an automated tracking facility at present. If at any stage you want to check the status of your order, please email us and include your order number / full name and we will get back to you.

10. CHANGING OR CANCELLING YOUR ORDER
|
|
Once your order has been processed and you have received your confirmation number, we are unable to change or add items to your order. However, we are able to cancel your order if it has not yet been dispatched. Whammo is a secure site and, as we don't retain your credit card details, we are unable to make any additional charges ourselves. This is in the interests of your security and we appreciate your understanding.

11. ORDERING WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD
|
|
We accept Money orders and Bank cheques as alternative forms of payments. All payments must be in Australian Dollars and made payable to "Whammo"
Please be aware that we DO NOT ACCEPT personal cheques, and take no responsibility for the safety of payment sent in the form of cash.
To determine the cost of your goods and shipping charge, follow these steps:
1. Select the items that you wish to purchase and place them in your shopping basket.
2. Click View basket to confirm your choice/s and then click Purchase Now to advance step 2*
3. Enter any characters in the fields marked by a red asterisk, and choose the country appropriate to the destination of your order.
4. Click Continue to take you to step 3
5. Stage 3 will state the Total cost of your order (top line for Australian Dollars), and will identify the cost of shipping.

Occasionally we offer major releases for pre-order. This means you can order the item in advance of its release date and we will send to you as soon as stock becomes available. Please be aware that your credit card is charged at the time of ordering, not dispatch.
If your order contains more than the pre-order items (or multiple pre-orders), we will hold off of shipment until the last of the pre-ordered items becomes available and ship as one package; if an item that isn't a pre-order is still out of stock after the pre-ordered items come in, we will make a part shipment of the stocked items, and a second shipment to complete the order. If you would prefer not to wait for items that are already released, please place a separate order.

Please contact us for returns on defective, damaged or mis-shipped goods. If you would like to exchange items due to incorrect choice, this will incur extra shipping charges, so please email us for authorisation.
Note: all returns must be emailed to us within 10 days of receiving the item.

All items listed on Whammo are brand new. Please note that CDs in Australia are not shrinkwrapped as they are in the US, and the absence of shrinkwrapping does not indicate used goods.

16. MERCHANDISE AND T-SHIRTS
|
|
Whammo stocks a range of t-shirts, caps and other assorted merchandise from bands such as Powderfinger, Magic Dirt and the Living End. To view our full merchandise range, click here.
To ensure you chose the correct size when purchasing merchandise, we provide both the width and length measurements of each item. The width measures the distance between the underarm corner seams, and the length is from the collar to the bottom of the shirt. We recommend you compare these sizes against t-shirts you already own to ensure you order the correct size.
Note that any requests for exchange will incur additional postage costs.

17. CONCERT AND FESTIVAL TICKETS
|
|
From time-to-time we will sell selected concert tickets. Tickets are shipped by Registered Post requiring a signature confirming delivery - therfore we cannot deliver to a PO Box address. We charge a flat fee for shipping regardless of how many tickets you purchase. There are NO REFUNDS once your tickets have shipped. Whammo acts as a sales agent only for the promoter and we are therefore not responsible for the running of the event.

Most videos we have for sale at Whammo are in PAL format, which is the format used in Australasia, most of Europe and the UK. If you live in the US or Canada where the NTSC format is used, your machine probably won't play these videos. However some newer video playback machines do play both PAL and NTSC formats so it may be worth checking your instruction manual or with the manufacturer.

Whammo will ship anywhere worldwide, but regret we are unable to offer our service to Indonesia at the present time.
|

To get the best results, avoid common words such as 'the', 'or', 'a' and 'and'. Use the rarest word in the artist name or album title you are looking for. Eg: to find Powderfinger's Odyssey Number Five, type in Odyssey. Avoid punctuation, such as slashes or apostrophes (for AC/DC enter ACDC). With plural names, enter the singular version (eg: Leonardo's Bride, enter Leonardo).
Searching 'books' will locate all our books, as will 'DVD' and 'video'. If you have problems locating an item, please email us for assistance.
