BookCrossings is project put together by a small web and database consulting company. Books are "tagged" and set free in the world. Those who find a book then log it in until it is set free again. There's an excellent search function... maybe there's a book loose in your neighborhood.

The moves make the man The book was about a boy named jerome. so jerome was trying to teach a troublesome kid that always ran away named Bix how to play basketball as good as he did so bix wouldnt always be in trouble. oviously jerome so called the best ball player in his neighborhood. so he had enough skill to teach someone else how to play. but its not going to be all sweet milk and bread to teach a kid like Bix. So go pick up this book im pretty sure you will enjoy it. [Ed: Interview with Bruce Brooks]

"Lolita" vs. Lolita:
The New York Observer has an interesting piece on a short story written in Germany in 1916. Called "Lolita", the story has more than a few points of commonality with the 1955 novel of the same name. What follows is not an accusation of plagiarism, but some interesting speculation on what connection (if any) might exist between the two works.
