St. James School is one of four Extra Mile Foundation Schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. It offers a quality curriculum without losing site of the basic Catholic values necessary in today's world.

A recent addition to the school is the Verizon Computer Laboratory. This state of the art computer facility provides computer equipment for computer aided instruction as well as connections to the wider educational opportunities available on the internet. The computers and facilities were provided by Verizon Corporation. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers installed the updated electrical utilities and communications.
