Al-Ayyam newspaper reported that Palestinian prisoners are as mistreated as Iraqi prisoners in Abu Gharib prison but they have not got the same media attention. Torture and sexual abuse of prisoners are common practices of Israeli occupation prison guards and investigators (Assafir, 6/15/04).
