Grant's Scouting Songbook

CampfireBaden-Powell
Who hath smelt woodsmoke at twilight?
Who hath heard the birch log burning?
Who is quick to read the noises of the night?
Let him follow with the others.
For the young men's feet are turning,
To the camps of proved desire and known delight.

Rudyard Kipling

All songs now have sound files to allow you to hear the tune to which it is sung. This will be a Midi file that should begin to play as soon as you view the song. However, since some tunes may be used with more than one song, you may find in some cases that the words may not fit with the music exactly - just experiment a bit and I'm sure you'll work them out.
One note on both words and music for these songs. I realise that many songs exist in a number of different versions, and that some songs may have different variations of tunes to which they are sung. The words and tunes I have included here are those with which I am most familiar.
If you have a favourite scouting song that I have not included here, please send me the words and some indication of the tune to which it is sung. If you have a sound file (MIDI or WAV) for your favourite song, please send that as well.
