Wayne Rooney has been selected as Carlsberg Man of the Match for England's 4-2 win against Croatia.
Crucial goal The 18-year-old striker scored two of England's goals and put in an incredibly accomplished overall performance for such a young player. His first goal came on the stroke of half-time with the game level at 1-1. Michael Owen and Paul Scholes created the chance and Rooney beat Tomislav Butina with a powerful shot from 22 metres out.
Cool finish The Everton FC forward's second goal came in the 68th minute as Owen set him up again from just inside the Croatian half. Rooney outsprinted the Croatian defence to coolly sidefoot past Butina from the edge of the area.
