Antonio Cassano waved farewell to UEFA EURO 2004™ tonight, but he was still deservedly selected as Carlsberg Man of the Match against Bulgaria.

Late winner
Italy were yet to win in the finals, but that was changed tonight in the last seconds as Cassano capped a passionate attacking performance by claiming the winner, sweeping in a cross from Massimo Oddo.

Bright future
Denmark's 2-2 draw with Sweden meant that both sides progressed at Italy's expense. But Cassano, who also scored against Sweden last Thursday, is only 21 and will surely experience better fortune at a major tournament before too long.
