Heard on WCLV Monday through Frday at 10:00 A.M.

Each weekday, listeners to 180 stations in the United States, to a network of stations via the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia, tune in to radio's most widely listened-to classical music program: Karl Haas' "Adventures in Good Music". The program began in 1959 on WJR, Detroit, going national through WCLV/Seaway Productions in 1970.

In 1991, Haas received the National Endowment for the Humanities' Charles Frankel Award, which was presented to him by President Bush at a ceremony at the White House. He has won the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award twice and has been named to the Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago, the first classical broadcaster and so far only one to be so honored.

In addition to his daily broadcasts, Haas has written a book, "Inside Music", which is now in its 10th printing, and has recorded three best selling compact discs based on his programs.
