Marek Heinz has been selected as Carlsberg Man of the Match for the Czech Republic's 2-1 win against Germany in UEFA EURO 2004™ Group D.

Constant threat
Heinz scored in the first game against Latvia after coming on as a substitute but started against Germany and was a constant threat throughout the evening. He linked up well with his strike partner Vratislav Lokvenc and they troubled Christian Wörns and Jens Nowotny in the German defence all night.

Equalising goal
Heinz's best moment came after 30 minutes when he cancelled out Germany's lead with a beautifully struck free-kick which rose above a four-man wall before finding its way into the top left-hand corner of Oliver Kahn's net.
