Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct approach to health care, blending modern advances in technology and scientific research with centuries-old natural, non-toxic therapies.  Naturopathic physicians (N.D.) seek to restore and maintain optimal health. Naturopathic medicine honors patients as unique human beings, enabling them to take responsibility for their own health. Naturopathic physicians are "health coaches," providing evaluations and recommendations for patients who are committed to becoming healthier. They educate their patients to optimize their lifestyles, to increase their immune function and to decrease illness.

Naturopathic physicians are educated at four-year medical schools, in which they receive an education similar to medical doctors along with in-depth training in a variety of natural therapeutics. Because of their educational background, naturopathic physicians are bridging the gap between alternative medicine and allopathic medicine (medicine practiced by M.D.ís). It is through this integrative approach that the future of medicine lies.

Dr. Ted Suzelis, N.D., a naturopathic physician, is accepting new patients at Treat Yourself  on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.  Earlier or later appointments are made on a case by case basis.
