Sony Pictures Classics has acquired Greg Harrison's "November," which debuted at Sundance earlier this year. In the film, Courteney Cox stars a photographer dealing with the death of her boyfriend, and in the words of a company announcement, "she struggles to put the event behind her, Sophie's life begins to splinter, as the line between fantasy and reality becomes alarmingly blurred." Sony Classics also released Harrison's previous feature, "Groove."

The psychological thriller produced by InDigEnt, the company's tenth DV feature, stars Cox, James Le Gros, Anne Archer, Michael Ealy, and Nora Dunn. It was written by Benjamin Brand and produced by Danielle Renfrew, along with Gary Winick and Jake Abraham from InDigEnt. It was executive produced by InDigEnt co-founders Jonathan Sehring and Caroline Kaplan from IFC Entertainment and John Sloss of Cinetic Media. The film debuted at Sundance, where cinematographer Nancy Schreiber won the top award for a director of photography. Cinetic Media sold the movie to Sony Classics.

"So much of what Sony Pictures Classics does is based on continuity with filmmakers. Amongst younger American filmmakers Greg Harrison is one of the best," said Sony Classics' co-presidents Michael Barker & Tom Bernard and SVP of production & acquisitions Dylan Leiner in a prepared statement. "'November' shows his mastery of mystery and suspense, his expressive use of the digital format, and features a great star performance by Courteney Cox. We couldn't be happier working with him again."

Upcoming InDigEnt films include Mark Christopher's "Pizza" and Wim Wenders' "Land of Plenty."
