Shirley you have Blackmon Ligon Shirley(dob 6-15-29). Is it possible that Black Ligon Shirley is a younger brother? Civil war records show a Black L. Shirley, PVT E Co 11th Cav Bn(CSA)...also Blackmon L. Shirley PVT F Cp 5th INF(union). Family history has his middle name as Filander but pronounced Lander. I can update some of the information I sent earlier.
