Hollyoaks newcomer Louis Tamone (Liam Owen) is set to give Colin Farrell a run for his money in an upcoming movie about Alexander the Great.
Farrell plays the legendary leader in Oliver Stone's film, Alexander, which is due for release later this year.
But, he's now up against another movie about the world conqueror - Alexander the Great from Macedonia.
Tamone, 23, plays Thessaly in this production.
"Oliver Stone doesn't want the film to come out," Tamone told us. "With the one I did, Ilya Salkind, who produced all the Superman films, wanted to turn it into a mini series, then he wanted to turn it into a film."
Alexander ruled most of the western world by the time he was Tamone's age, but while the actor has no plans for global domination, he has been impressing many in the drama world over the past few years.
He studied at Kate Winslet's training ground, Redroof Theatre School in Maidenhead, before going on to achieve stage success in Blood Brothers and Ruffian on the Stair.
As for Hollyoaks, the newcomer is remaining tight lipped about his character.
"I've come in with a dark secret which will be revealed within a month's time so I can't really say too much."
