Bobby Meers stars as the world's most famous detective as a young man in “Young Sherlock Holmes,” which opens Wednesday at Theatre for Young America, Dickinson Top Two Theatre, 5909 Johnson Drive, Mission. “Summer Silents! A Tribute to Silent Films” at Martin City Melodrama and Vaudeville Company features actors restaging silent films live with organ accompaniment and sound effects. Shows are Thursday through Sunday at Martin City Melodrama and Vaudeville Company in the Metcalf South Shopping Center, 9601 Metcalf, Overland Park. Reservations are required.
