"Actions
Will Be My Words"
Hello Waterfowlers
- My name is Curt Matzinger, and, as most of you know, I
was elected President of the SSWA at the April meeting.
Anybody who knows me will attest that I am truly a
waterfowling enthusiast (nut). I do love the sport and I
will try to give this position my full 110%. I will do
all I can to make this year interesting, informative, and
financially rewarding for our club.
One of my downfalls is that I'm NOT a public speaker.
One-on-one I never shut up. Put me in front of a group or
in the position of giving a speech and I become tongue
tied. I'm much better behind the spotlight.
What I plan on doing is making my actions be my words.
I'll try to top last year's Duckboat Show, start up more
projects, have interesting meetings, and strive to make
our club better than ever.
Please, bear with me and I'll see you at the meetings.
Curt
Thank
You
I would like to
thank all of the members who helped out at the
shows and festivals we attended this year. The
SSWA was at the SASI Show, Nassau Coliseum,
Patchogue Antique Decoy Collectors, Stony Brook
Museum, West Sayville Show, DU Conservation Day,
DU Youth Day, as well as our Duckboat Show &
Waterfowl Festival. I greatly appreciate all the
time and help you devoted to your club.
Thank
you very much, Curt

A Mourns a Loss
It has come to my
attention of the loss of one of our Past
President's Fred Casemen. Due to this information
coming to me on short notice, I could not get a
proper "Past President Profile"
together. Any member who knew Fred, please
contact me at (631) 661-0379 so I can gather the
information for our next newsletter. Thanks.
Curt
