If you stopped by the Dark Horse Comics booth at Celebration II, you likely saw a line of fans waiting to have their faces scanned by the crew from Gentle Giant Studios.

Gentle Giant had their 3-D scanners on-set during the production of Episode II scanning everything from props to costumes to actors faces in various poses. These computerized representations went on to assist ILM in the creation of digital doubles and to toy companies to ensure accurate recreations.

Gentle Giant brought their scanners to Indianapolis and scanned the faces of over 200 lucky fans who will receive a print-out of their image. In addition, three lucky fans have been randomly selected to receive a detailed bust of their likeness as a Jedi Knight. The winners are:

• Mr. Chris Nordeen (Sherwood, OR)
• Mr. Chris Ryons (King of Prussia, PA)
• Ms. Therese Romero (Chicago, IL)

Also at Celebration, Dark Horse and Gentle Giant unveiled some new Episode II busts available later this summer, joining four currently available statuettes. The detail and accuracy needs to be seen in person to be appreciated, so head over to your favorite hobby shop for a closer look.
