Fuel Tanks
There are eight tanks in Chester, two 90K horizontals, two 78K verticals and four 68K
verticals. The annual supply is bulk delivered (410,000 litres) and held in these tanks.
There is a fenced earth berm with an impermeable liner. This was completed during a major retrofit in 1994. The tanks and catwalks are in need of paint before serious deterioration begins.
Capital Work
The PLC was installed in 1997 and a new engine was installed in 1994. In 1997 an
expansion to the warehouse was completed for storage space, garage space for the
Skidozer and transient quarters to replace the existing trailer. These changes should take us well into the future.
Plant Forecast
The plant has adequate capacity into the foreseeable future. Due to the location of the plant, residual heat for the community does not appear to be realistic at this time.(School is about 100M away).
